Many kids, if asked what they want to be when they grow up, will answer "a veterinarian." We hope to help cultivate those dreams & help turn them into reality. We offer job shadowing for middle & high school students, internships for pre-vet and veterinary technician college students and externships for those currently enrolled at an approved veterinary university.
Depending on the time of year and level of the student, different opportunities and experiences are available. We try to offer as much hands-on experience as possible and offer time for questions and case study.
We expect students to wear long pants, a collared shirt and clean shoes. Jeans, dirty shoes, t-shirts and sweatshirts are unacceptable. We ask that students also bring a change of clothes for farm calls and coveralls & boots if they have them.
Lunch or lunch money should be brought in the morning & the student is expected to stay through the pre-established time period.
All students must fill out the application form & receive approval on date(s) & time(s) prior to beginning their program.
