Dr. John Schroeder

Dr. John Schroeder is from rural Laurel, NE. John has always taken on the role of animal care giver in his large family. After graduating from Iowa State Veterinary School in 1972, he became an associate veterinarian in Coleridge to be close to  family and friends. Dr. John purchased Cedar County Veterinary Services from Dr. H. P. Lortz in 1980. He has spent the last 30 years raising a family and giving devoted veterinary care to the people and animals of Northeast Nebraska.

Dr. Ben Schroeder

Dr. Ben Schroeder grew up in Colderige, NE and learned at the early age of three that a black and white cow was a "milk fever!"  Following in his dad's footsteps, Ben attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln where he obtained his BS in animal science.  After completing his undergraduate studies, he attended Kansas State University and graduated with his DVM in 2002.  While waiting for Erin to finish up her education, Ben worked in Manhattan, KS at the Little Apple Veterinary Clinic as a small animal/exotic veterinarian.

Dr. Erin Schroeder

Dr. Erin Schroeder is originally from the small rural community of Westport, located in upstate New York. She played basketball for four years at Syracuse University while obtaining her BS in biochemistry/molecular genitics. In 2000, she attended Kansas State University where she met Ben and graduated with her DVM. She and Ben have two sons named Charles and Chase.

Lori Arduser

Lori is a native of Coleridge, where she lives with her husband Rick and two of their six daughters, Morgan and Ellie.  She also shares her home with three cats: "Kitty, Boots, & Oreo."  Lori is our businiess manager and handles our staff coordinator.

Kerrie Junck

Kerrie is one of our veterinary technicians here at CCVS. Kerrie graduated from NECC and came to CCVS to do her internship. She and her husband Brian live on a farm in rural Randolph, where they breed, raise, & show Foundation Quarter Horses. In her spare time she enjoys showing horses, judging horse shows, and spending time with her family. Kerrie helps with the small animal and equine appointments. She is also our riding instructor and horse trainer at Haymaker Farm.  

Bonnie Lentz

Bonnie is our recoptionist here at the clinic.  Bonnie and her husband, Scott bought an acerage outside of Hartington five years ago. Bonnie grew up in the Norfolk area and owned her own grooming business for ten years. She has four adult children and three grandbabies.  Bonnie also shares her farm with four horses, three heifers, three dogs, several cats, and a mini donkey.

Mary Miller

Mary is an avid horse lover.  Mary lives with her husband Mitch on their acerage outside of Coleridge.  Mary raises Shetland Sheepdogs and Golden Retrievers and enjoys trail riding on several of her horses.  Mary can be found assisting the veterinarians at the equine hospital and making sure every detail is attended to at Haymaker Farm.

Rick Curry

Rick is also a veterinary technician and helps with the large animal appointments and Stockmen's. Rick grew up in Ponca and went to college in Curtis, NE. He now lives in rural Colerige with his wife Denita and his son, Ethan.  He also has two daughters; Alicia who recently graduated from college and Jessica who is currently in college.  In his spare time, Rick enjoys hunting and trail riding.

Dale Smith

Dale is from rural Martinsburg where he lives with his wife Maxine.  Dale is always glad to lend an extra hand at the equine hospital, large animal appointments, and Stockmens. In his free time, Dale enjoys coon hunting, fishing, riding his mules, and spending time with his grandkids.

Holly Kneifl

Holly is a Junior at Hartington Public Schools and enjoys spending time with her family and attending school activities with her friends. Holly can be found walking dogs during the week and helping at the clinic on the weekends. She aspires to be a future veterinarian.

Regina Auch

Regina is our groomer and enjoys pampering your kitty or puppy during their groom.  She currently lives in Yankton, SD with her dog, Shanti. Regina enjoys working and riding horses in her spare time.

Julie Hochstein

Julie is our recipcenist here at the clinic. Julie grew up in southern California and moved to Nebraska in 1992. At this time she met her husband Chuck. They have five adult sons and three grandchildren.  They currently live in Hartington with their two dogs, a ferret, and a turtle. In their spare time Julie enjoys camping and fishing.
